Unique Fundraising - DanceEast

Supporting our local community is important to us, many of our employees are active in fund raising events, focus and business groups. Green policies are paramount in our business activities and end solution recommendations.

Each year we focus on one charity and attempt to do our best to support them in the most suitable way possible. This year we are focusing on doing our bit to raise funds for the new DanceHouse on the Ipswich Waterfront, due to open in August 2009.

The new DanceHouse will be the new home for the DanceEast Academy and its aim is to make dance accessible to everyone across East Anglia. In addition to hosting performances by local and visiting artists, adding cultural richness to the area, it will offer a range of dance classes, workshops and short courses for the local community in state of the art facilities.

Raising funds can be difficult at the best of times, so we had to think hard about how we could achieve this aim and we came up with a unique proposal. For every hardware solution deployment this year we have been able to negotiate and accrue credit points with some of our key trade suppliers. This has enabled us to accumulate a fund-pot that we will eventually use to purchase IT hardware for the DanceEast premises.  

Our target over the coming months is an ambitious £5,000

UPDATE: 1st July 2009 - We are delighted to report that our target of £5,000 has been achieved. We have successfully procured 6 new workstations and a rackmount TFT for the new DanceHouse.
